Our Story
How We Met
Our story begins, as all great 21st-century romances do… with a swipe. In February 2023, we matched, exchanged a few messages, and soon found ourselves on a first date that felt less like small talk and more like catching up with someone we already knew. No awkward pauses—just laughs, shared stories, and two people who could definitely keep up with each other.
Our first adventure together took us to Vienna, where we made it official on April 7th. That trip also revealed a key compatibility marker: Thomas knew how to iron. It was love.
From there, things moved quickly—in the best way. We traveled through Mexico, Japan, Turkey, Spain, and Brazil. By November, we were living together.
She Said Yes

On our one-year anniversary, back in Vienna and right in front of the Stephansdom—where it all began—Thomas proposed. (She saw it coming. Let’s just say… surprise planning is not his greatest strength.)
Before popping the question, Thomas had a heartfelt conversation with Laura’s dad in English—only to find out later that Enrique may not have understood a single word. Or maybe he understood everything and just played it cool. We may never know. Either way, he gets full credit for keeping a straight face and not spoiling the surprise.
Our relationship is a joyful mix of cultures, languages, and rhythms. Thomas learned to dance to Latin music (surprising everyone, including himself), and Laura introduced the German side of the family to the fine art of the Spanish siesta—the real kind, where you actually sleep.
The Rest Is History
Somewhere along the way, we discovered that Laura might be the one with the German traits—organized, detail-oriented, and refreshingly direct—while Thomas has fully embraced his inner Spaniard: warm, relaxed, and surprisingly creative.
As we look ahead—traveling, dreaming, dancing, building, and maybe even trying to take over the world like Pinky and the Brain—we’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
