Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a plus-one?

We would love to accommodate everyone, but due to space limitations, we can only host the guests listed on the invitation and, if applicable, their partner. Unfortunately, we cannot extend the invitation to additional companions, such as friends or acquaintances. If you are attending with your partner, please remember to complete an RSVP form for each person. We truly appreciate your understanding and are excited to share this special day with you.

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to keep our wedding day an intimate celebration. For this reason, the presence of children is limited to those traveling to Madrid from out-of-town. For our guests living in Madrid, we kindly ask that you join us for this adult-focused celebration.

We hope you understand this decision and know it was made with care to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable day for everyone. If you have any concerns or need assistance making arrangements, feel free to reach out to us.

I have a dietary restriction or allergy, can I have a special menu?

Yes, please inform us about your dietary restrictions or allergies in the RSVP form.

I would like to make a surprise for the couple, or give a speech, how can I arrange it?

You can contact our wedding planner Ari (+34 651 563 527), she will ensure that your performance is planned into the timeline. Ari can communicate in Spanish and English. If you need assistance in German, please send her a message in written form.

I have changed my mind about using the shuttle bus, what can I do?

Please reach out to the shuttle bus coordinator (will be communicated two weeks in advance) as soon as possible to either cancel your seat reservation(s) on the shuttle or to check if one additional seat is available for you.

I have to cancel last minute due to an unforeseen event, who should I contact?

Please contact either the bride or the groom on their phone numbers or send an email to our email: LauraThomas2026@gmail.com. Alternatively you can also contact our wedding planner, Ari (+34 651 563 527).

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Yes, however, our photographer will indicate specific moments when it’s time to put your device away for them to take some specific shots.

Will there be an open bar?

Of course! There will be an open bar and a lot of dancing, come prepared with shoes you can dance with! There is a cloakroom at the venue for your convenience.

Do you have a wedding list?

We’re so excited to share this special day with you! Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we’re truly grateful that you’ll be able to join us. If you’d like to give a gift, we’ve created a wedding list, which you can find here: link. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to contribute to our dream honeymoon in Peru, you can transfer a gift to our Spanish bank account.

What’s the dress code?

Spanish weddings are typically formal. For our celebration, we encourage you to dress elegantly while keeping these traditions in mind: please avoid wearing white, and note that while black is less common for women, it is perfectly fine for men to wear black suits. We’re adding some examples below for your reference. We can’t wait to see you looking your best!

Is there a WhatsApp group I can join to discuss travel plans and activities with other guests?

Yes! To make it easier for everyone to connect, we’ve created multiple self-managed WhatsApp groups. Each group is tailored to specific languages—English, German, and Spanish—so guests can communicate comfortably.

Feel free to join the group (or groups!) that suit you. We expect different guests to join the group(s) based on the language they’re most comfortable speaking. Joining multiple groups is completely okay if you’re bilingual or simply want to interact with a more diverse set of guests!

Here are the WhatsApp group details:

  • English-speaking Group: Link
  • German-speaking Group: Link
  • Spanish-speaking Group: Link

We encourage everyone to use these groups to share travel tips, activity suggestions in Madrid, or coordinate plans with others during the wedding week. Please note that these groups are self-managed, so we kindly request all participants to respect the group dynamics and keep discussions helpful and wedding-related.

If you have any specific questions about the event or logistics, however, it’s always best to contact either Laura or Thomas directly via Whatsapp.
